Elizabeth Wilson brings almost unrivalled understanding of the UK and European Wine Market, gleaned from over twenty years in the industry working for many of the UK's leading wine businesses on both the buying and selling sides.

Most recently the Regional Business Development Manager (UK & Europe) for Ara Wines (NZ), she was responsible for distributors in the UK and Europe, developing market strategy and managing marketing budgets across all markets.   She oversaw the increase in UK volume from 10k x 9ltr to 160k x 9ltr in 3 years (despite economic pressures and FX),  improved profitability across UK and Europe, and set up two new distribution agreements in profitable European markets with good volume potential.  Elizabeth gained Ara's first Systembolaget listings (3 within 6 months) and developed strong relationships with New Zealand bodies in UK - NZ society, such as Kea, New Zealand Wine Growers (NZWG), and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE).

Prior to this role, Elizabeth was the Director of Buying & Marketing for Paragon Wines & Spirits and before that, HBJ Wines & Spirits, overseeing supplier management, seeking out new suppliers (including two IWSC Trophy winners in Vavasour and Eikendal), the management of the brand management team and the re-branding of the company's corporate identity. She re-blended, re-packaged and re-launched house wines, with first year sales up 43% and new listings in many key prestige accounts, such as Rick Stein. 

With previous roles as National Account Manager for two major importers and Wine Buyer at the Co-operative Group, Elizabeth has seen the trade from both sides of the fence - invaluable experience.

During this time, Elizabeth also won several WSET scholarships, including the Davis Langton Award for top diploma student, and studied to Master of Wine level. The very proud mother of three children, she's also a keen runner and bakes a bloody good cake.
