Chateau Thieuley is a typical blend of 70% Merlot with 30% Cabernet Sauvignon on clay and gravelly soils.

It is deep ruby with an opaque core, the narrow rim is starting to show some maturity. There is a meaty rich nose and a gutsy palate of black fruits with toasty notes. Good depth and structure, lovely to drink now

The Vignobles Courselle vineyard is100% family-owned since it started in 1950, when André Courselle bought Château Thieuley located in the Entre-Deux-Mers and lay the foundation of a great vineyard.

In 1972, his son Francis Courselle, a young engineer and oenology professor, took over the management of the Thieuley vineyards. In 30 years, the acreage increased from 4 to 80 hectares spread over three properties: Château Thieuley, Clos Sainte Anne and Château Saint Genes. Marie and Sylvie Courselle, Francis Courselle’s two daughters, inherited the family passion:
